The NC General Assembly has published their proposed district lines. Go to http://ncleg.net/gis/RandR07/redistricting.html for more information.
Here in eastern Wake County, it looks like we will have two districts dividing our area. The good news there is that it looks like we may finally be able to elect the conservative representation that eastern Wake citizens have tried to do for years.
The districts are not yet finalized, but we do not expect major changes. After the legislature passes the redistricting bills in the special session, they will still have to go through the process of judicial review and litigation. We applaud the conservatives on the redistricting committee who have worked hard to get these done in time to go through the inevitable judicial process.
